Head up a nondescript stairwell on Smith Street, push through two heavy doors, and the room opens up: exposed brick, timber floors, soaring ceilings and eight arched windows looking out over the city.
Panama House was a textile factory in the early 1900s. Today it’s a restaurant and bar from 5pm, with seasonal food from Victorian farms and growers, local wines and cocktails made with care.
